SAIL 2018 will be hosted by the Linguistic Department of the University of Ottawa on April 13-14, 2018. It will happen in conjunction with the 23rd Workshop on Structure and Constituency in Languages of the Americas (WSCLA) and hosted by the Linguistics Department of the University of Ottawa.
The University of Ottawa is located in the downtown area. The department’s address is 70 Laurier Avenue East, Ottawa, Ontario K1N 6N5. The exact rooms will be announced in early April, with the final program. Getting to the University
To get to campus with public transportation:
|The OCTRANSPO website provides complete information about public transportation in the city. Single fare cost: $3.75. Exact change is required. Due to LRT construction, some routes have changed. If in doubt, please double check on the website or with drivers.|
|FROM AIRPORT. to the university campus, take bus 97 to the intersection of Laurier Avenue East and Nicholas Street (Laurier Station/University of Ottawa). Travel time is approximately 25 minutes.|
|FROM TRAIN STATION. Buses 61 and 62 (heading west to Stittsville or Terry Fox) go from the train station to campus (15 min), same stop as above.|
|FROM CENTRAL BUS STATION. Coming from Montreal by Greyhound bus, you may disembark downtown at the University of Ottawa (Laurier and Nicholas) before the bus heads to the central station; from Toronto, the bus arrives directly at the central station. From there, the bus service is a block away on Bank Street (buses 6 and 7 to Rideau Centre are the most direct options).|
|The following hotels, bead and breakfasts and hostels, organized according to proximity, are all within a 15 minute walk to the rooms where the symposia will be held.|
